I am just providing a quick on ...
I am just providing a quick one-year product feedback on my ownership to the Braelin BR08 wheels I purchased from Partsengine. So, I purchased a set of 4 Braelin Wheels BR 08 last winter, and I was very happy about the appearance of them, and they fit perfectly on my Dodge Charger. However, one day after couple of months, I noticed that the “Braelin Logo” part that’s glued to the centre cap of the wheel fell out. It’s also weird compared to other wheel company’s centre caps, because usually the centre caps would just have logos printed on, instead of gluing another plastic logo piece on. Anyway, Partsengine showed me their great customer service, which then got me a pair of replacement centre caps, and later I had to plasti dip them in order to prevent the piece from detaching again. One day when I was changing tires at a tire shop, employees told me that two of my wheels were bent (one was bent pretty bad, another one was slightly bent). I was frustrated because I had to replace them. So then I consulted with a local alloy rims repair shop, and they successfully fixed the rim that’s slightly bent but suggested me to buy a new one for the other one due to the chances of failure to repair. Therefore, I purchased a single new wheel from Partsengine afterwards. Everything has been going well with the rims until recently, I saw that one of my wheels is bent again, and this time I can see the bent area from the surface. I mean I have been trying to avoid as many potholes as possible, as well as setting my tire pressure very high just to prevent this from happening again (PS. Also my tires are not low profiled). But this happened again!! 3 bent rims within a year!!!!!! My previous RIMS before the Braelin ones never got bent even after 3years!! So I’ve come to several conclusions and suggestions for potential customers, Braelin and Partsengine: 1. This BR08 type of wheel is a “Star Design” which only has 5 spokes, it is likely to mean that it’s less supporting for the overall strength of the wheels. 2. The material used to manufacture is not strong enough. 3. Please change the material used for the centre caps in the future, because when the temperature drops, the glue is useless. Therefore, I will have to sell them for a low value instead of trying to fix it again, and to purchase new wheels with better material and a design of more spokes from other wheel companies.
