Product features:
All CURT trailers, including Class 1 Trailer hitch are put through rigorous testing before being deemed ready to tow We test each hitch to SAE J684 to ensure safety for you and your family Exposure to the elements is inevitable for any trailer hitch As such, we go to great lengths to ensure that our hitches are well-protected for the road ahead All CURT trailer hitches undergo our industry-leading co-cured finishing process First, the hitches are mechanically and chemically descaled This creates a smooth surface for the rest of the finishing process Then, they are dipped in a liquid A-coat solution, completely immersing the hitch and covering it inside and out with a rust-resistant coating Next, a black powder coat finish is applied over the top of the A-coat
Finally, the two coatings are co-cured together, forming a final finish that offers superior rust, chip and UV protection All CURT custom class 1 receiver hitches are designed, manufactured, finished and tested in the USA (may include imported hardware) This gives us direct control over the quality of the hitch and ensures dependability for you on each and every adventure

Part #: 112763 Fit my '10 Prius perfectly. Didn't have to remove my exhaust clamp, just 4 bolts out, remove tow hook, 4 new bolts in.

Shipping was extremely fast and product went on my 2019 Bolt with no trouble. I attached a hanging bike rack to it with a single bicycle. This survived 2 road trips but after the third I returned home to find that the hitch had bent down enough that the bike rack was nearly dragging on the ground. The bolts and everything are tight. The metal is literally twisted. Arguably I may have gone over some bumps that caused the weight capacity to be exceeded, so I don't expect to see any sort of warranty coverage, but if this product cannot carry a single bicycle, then it is of limited value.

Solid hitch. Installed on 201 ...
Solid hitch. Installed on 2014 Jeep Patriot. Took some maneuvering - had to measure and cut into plastic below the Jeep's bumper to accommodate the hitch, which looks great if done right. The instructions were helpful there. Only complaint is that the instructions call for a torque wrench to properly secure the hitch to the frame. I don't recall exactly what the issue was since I installed it a year ago, but I remember that one or two of the bolts could not be reached with a torque wrench. Maybe a suggestion in the instructions on what needs to be done to get the torque wrench to be accessible to the bolts would help. But can't blame the hitch manufacturer because that's where the Jeep manufacturer designed the bolt placement on the vehicle.
