On The Roll - Community Guidelines & Content Policy

What belongs in the gallery, how moderation works, and the fine print.

 Back to the gallery

On The Roll is the PartsEngine customer gallery: real builds, photographed by the people who built them. These guidelines keep it worth browsing. The short version - post your own ride, keep it clean, and don't use it to sell things.

Community Guidelines

What On The Roll is for

Show off your truck, Jeep, car or bike and the parts that went on it. The best posts show the vehicle clearly, list the products that were actually fitted, and tell the story in a sentence or two. Daylight shots beat parking-garage shots; three good photos beat ten blurry ones.

Your photos must be yours

Only upload photos you took or own the rights to. No photos saved from other people's social media, no manufacturer press shots, no stock images, and no images carrying someone else's watermark. If it isn't your ride or your camera roll, it doesn't belong here.

Not allowed

  • Advertising and self-promotion. No shop banners, business names painted across the post, phone numbers, price lists, promo codes, or links to other stores. Posts that exist to sell something get rejected.
  • Spam and duplicates. One post per build. Re-submitting the same photos, or flooding the gallery with near-identical shots, gets the extras removed.
  • Offensive content. Nothing explicit, hateful, or harassing - in the photos, the captions, the build description, or your handle. This is a family-friendly gallery.
  • People without their consent. If someone is clearly identifiable in your photo, make sure they're fine with it before you post.
  • Dangerous or illegal driving. No street racing, stunts on public roads, or anything a photo proves shouldn't have happened.

A note on privacy

Photos and captions are public once approved. Consider blurring or covering your licence plate, and avoid showing your house number or anything else you wouldn't hand to a stranger.

Moderation

Every photo is reviewed by a real person before it appears on the site. We reject anything that breaks these guidelines and we don't always send a note explaining why. Repeat problems lead to posting limits or losing gallery access. We may remove any content at any time.

Likes and shares

Likes exist so the community can celebrate great builds. Manufactured likes, bot traffic, or gaming the share links gets the numbers corrected and can get the post removed.

Content Policy

1. Licence to PartsEngine

You grant PartsEngine a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify (including cropping, resizing and editing), publicly display, publish and distribute your submitted content, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed - including the PartsEngine website, marketing and advertising materials, and PartsEngine social media channels - with or without attribution. You keep ownership of your content; this is a licence, not a transfer of ownership.

2. Your promises to us

You confirm that: (a) you own the submitted content or hold all rights needed to grant the licence above; (b) the content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights; and (c) any person identifiable in the content has consented to it being posted and used as described here.

3. Moderation and removal

PartsEngine may reject, remove, edit or decline to publish any submission at its sole discretion, at any time, with no obligation to publish, notify, or give a reason.

4. What happens when you delete a post

Deleting a post (or your account) stops it being displayed on the site going forward, but does not revoke the licence for uses already made or in production - for example, a photo already featured in a printed flyer or an existing social media post.

5. No compensation

Submissions are voluntary. PartsEngine owes no payment, royalty or other compensation for submitted content or its use.

6. Who can post

Posting requires a PartsEngine account, and you must have reached the age of majority in your province or territory.

7. Takedown requests

If you believe content in the gallery infringes your rights, contact us with the post and the basis of your claim and we will review it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update these guidelines and this policy from time to time. Continuing to post after a change means you accept the updated terms.
