Tekonsha's Push to Test Breakaway system with built-in charger is designed to bring a trailer safely to a stop by activating its electric brakes should it become disconnected while being towed. Push-button tester lets you know if the rechargeable battery is fully charged.

Tekonsha Breakaway Kit
The Tekonsha Breakaway kit provides weather-resistant, heavy-duty polymer case to protect the battery and charger. The kit comes in either flat-surface mount option, post-mount option or weldable flat-surface mount option - see descriptions for each part number for more details.
Aside from part# 1028, the kits come with Multi-Stage Battery Charger that provides a fast recharge up to 12.8 volts. Once battery is fully charged, the automatic float mode is designed to provide a continuous charge without overcharging.
