This product installs within your pickup's bed and features a convenient hinge mechanism. When transporting oversized cargo, simply drop the tailgate and flip the bed extender outwards to transform a conventional 6-1/2 Feet bed into 8 Plus Feet of cargo space. The AMP Research BedXTender HD Max features a robust yet lightweight construction, Along a tubular 6063 T-6 frame and rigid nylon uprights. Though naturally corrosion resistant, the bed extender's aluminum frame receives a durable powder coat finish. Installation is intuitive using the provided instruction manual and hardware; however, some drilling may be required. Still, installation is quick and easy in any home garage or driveway.
